Don't Go Dippy - Ring Shippy!
 

This Bus & Train accident goes back to the 50's. It was carrying school children along Tapleys Hill Road at the time of the collision. The Tow Truck is a GMC 6x6, fitted with a Holmes W45 crane and was repowered with first a Cadillac side valve V/8 (petrol), then a GM 453 Diesel. Note the police officers uniform.

This photo was taken in 1957 It turned up in the history section of the  City of West Torrens Web Site. There are after photos of the horse there too.
